What the quiz widget stores
The widget reads the store's Shopify privacy settings before storing anything. It uses browser local storage, not cookies, and only when the shopper allows preferences.
It stores an anonymous ID, the time of the first visit, the utm_source and referring site, the last 40 pages visited on the store, a page count, and when each quiz was last shown. Merchants use these to decide who sees a quiz and how often.
Without preferences consent, nothing is stored and quizzes do not open automatically. Without analytics consent, no quiz views are recorded. Without marketing consent, no attribution tag is added to the cart.
What this site stores
The marketing site remembers your light or dark theme choice. That is all it keeps on your device.
What is not here
Neither the widget nor this site sets an advertising cookie, loads an analytics script, or shares anything with an ad network. Nothing follows a visitor to another site.
The widget stores what it stores on the shopper's own device. It is not a cookie and it is not readable by anyone else.
Clearing it
Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it. A quiz you had already dismissed may then appear again, and this site will fall back to your system theme.
A shopper can also withdraw consent through the store's own privacy controls, which stops the widget storing anything further.
