Terms of service

The agreement between Mica and the merchants who install it: what the app does, what it costs, and what each side is responsible for.

Who you are agreeing with

Mica is operated by Glenmore Studio ("Mica", "we"), in California, United States.

Questions about these terms go to support@micapopups.com.

Effective 20 September 2026.

The agreement

Mica is a Shopify app that writes a product-recommendation quiz from a store's catalog, publishes it to the storefront, and captures the answers as leads. Installing it from Shopify creates the agreement between the merchant's store and Mica.

The merchant is the account holder. Anyone they give Shopify staff access to can use the app on their behalf.

Plans and billing

Subscriptions are billed through Shopify App Pricing and appear on the store's Shopify invoice. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

Plans can be changed from the Plan page in the app. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription.

Your quiz and your leads

The quiz, its copy, and every lead it captures belong to the merchant. Mica stores them to run the app and to show reporting.

Leads can be exported as CSV at any time, and synced continuously to the merchant's own Klaviyo, Omnisend, Mailchimp or Brevo account, or to a webhook URL the merchant sets.

Acceptable use

The app may not be used to collect data deceptively, to impersonate another business, or to run a quiz that a store does not have the right to publish.

Ending the agreement

Uninstalling the app from Shopify ends the subscription. The store's data is kept for 48 hours so a reinstall restores the quiz, then deleted when Shopify sends its shop deletion request.

Mica may end the agreement for a store that breaks the acceptable use rules above, or stop offering the app entirely, with notice to the merchant by email.

What Mica does not promise

Mica writes quizzes and captures leads. It does not promise a number of leads, a conversion rate, a revenue figure, or any particular result from running a quiz.

The quiz is written by an AI model from the store's own catalog. The merchant is responsible for reading what it wrote before publishing it, and can change any of it in the app.

Availability and support

Mica aims to keep the app and the storefront widget running, but does not offer a guaranteed uptime level. Maintenance, a Shopify change, or a provider outage can interrupt it.

Support is one person answering support@micapopups.com. Concierge plans include quiz setup and monthly changes by us.

Liability

The app is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires.

Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost sales. Mica's total liability for any claim is limited to what the merchant paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes go to the courts located there.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the effective date above changes with them. Merchants are told by email about changes that affect what they pay or what they are responsible for.
